Dr. Andrew Sanford is the Owner and Veterinarian at Tri-County Small Animal Hospital. Born and raised in New Market, Tennessee, Andrew returned to his roots after an enriching career journey. He graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2020 and began his career as a mixed animal practitioner at Beard Navasota Veterinary Hospital in Texas.
This role offered invaluable experience across various veterinary disciplines. After two years, Andrew and his family moved back to east Tennessee, where he served as a small animal practitioner at Lakeway Animal Hospital. Since April 2025, Andrew has been part of the Tri-County team, passionately delivering high-quality veterinary care to the community.
His areas of interest include internal medicine, ultrasonography, and surgery, alongside a strong commitment to customer care. He is an active member of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys managing his family’s cattle operation, woodworking, and spending cherished moments with his wife and children, Colleen, Todd, Amelia, and Samuel.
